Hide underground while your house burns?

There may be better solutions. If you can afford a bunker, maybe you could afford a generator-powered foam system that could save your house. Or maybe get your neighborhood to do a FireSafe project and reduce the hazard.

The bunker idea seems a little too bomb-shelter to me. Maybe in Israel. I hate to plan for Armageddon. Climbing out of my hole and viewing complete devastation doesn't sound like fun. I'd rather take steps to prevent the catatstrophe. But if there's no other option, I guess survivalist mode is all that's left.
